Detox Update
Submitted by timpro on Mon, 01/18/2010 - 3:20pmDetox Update---Week one was great, settling into the program of Metabolic Cleanse & Detox. As a personal note, & I think everyone else that went through the last Detox program, the Ultra Detox is very easy to take. It now comes in a capsule, easier to take than the powder. WOOHOO!!!
If you could have been at our last Team Tampa Bay meeting you would have heard some decriptions that would have you laughing so hard that the tears would have started. Sorry, I can't list any here. :-)

Detox - Challenge!!!
Submitted by Tigger on Tue, 01/12/2010 - 3:05pmI missed the call last night due to other obiligations - but downloaded the files on the Detox Process - It is going to be a challenge more so than some of the other challenges we have had in the past. It is hard to eliminate most of what you can only eat - having to completely change your diet for the month - I am up to the challenge. My goals this year is to continue walking everyday and loss weight. This will be a great start. Good luck to everyone -

Heel Stretches Before & After Walking
Submitted by JSchreiber on Sat, 10/10/2009 - 11:32pmStand about 18 inches away from a wall, with your palms on the wall at shoulder height and width. Extend your left leg back about e feet, and bend your right knee. Keep your left leg straight, pressing your left heel into the floor. Your toes should be pointing forward. Hold for 15 seconds, sniff thru nose and exhale thru mouth, then switch sides. Do twice daily, 10 times each leg. Helps relieve heel, ankle, and calf pain and tightness. Also good for prevention of foot pain. Source: American Podiatric Medical Association. Health tip: VitaFit.Me helps with inflammatory disorders.
A New Dimension
Submitted by jblewett on Tue, 09/29/2009 - 10:58amWhile running with my nephew, William, on a recent trip to Illinois I was "forced" to run on some hills--this in contrast to my beach (obviously flat) running at home in Florida.
And, lo and behold, after several days of hill running I realized my legs felt considerably stronger...both while running and simply in every day tasks.
Now I'm conbining some hill (bridge) running with my beach jogs and feel it adds a new dimension to fitness.

We are Triatheletes!
Submitted by Michelle McCollum on Thu, 06/25/2009 - 10:01amTony and I completed out first Triathalon on June 20th. Tony is a natural at this sport. Tony was 2nd out of the 1/4 mile swim and ended the day with a 1:07 finishing time. We are currently trying to find Tony a sponsor for his Triathalon events. With the proper equipment I truly believe he can win every triathalon he enters. Congratulations to Tony Richards on his outstanding performance...

Run to Learn - Fitness Challenge
Submitted by JimF on Mon, 06/01/2009 - 7:26pmWell, school is out and summer is beginning. But we don't want to stop learning, do we? Did you know that according to Erma Bombeck: http://www.humorwriters.org/startlingstats.html
- 1/3 of high school graduates never read another book for the rest of their lives.
- 42 percent of college graduates never read another book after college.
- 80 percent of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year.
- 70 percent of U.S. adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.
But we know better, we have VitaFit.U where the learning never stops.
